[update 01.12.2021]
The laboratory performs the following analyses in connection with departure to a foreign destination:
Check in advance which test your travel destination requires on reopen.europa.eu.
Always ask for a PCR test if you have doubts or do not know. After all, the PCR test will be accepted for all destinations.
Yes, to take a COVID test for travel, you need to make an appointment AFTER you have created a code on www.myhealth.belgium.be.
This is done as follows:
Yes, you ALWAYS need a code to make an appointment, even for an antigen test. Without a code, you cannot book an appointment via testcovid.doclr.be.
You must create this code (16 characters) yourself via the link on www.myhealth.belgium.be.
Please note: the code is only valid for 10 days, after which it expires. Do not request your test code more than 10 days before your test.
REMEMBER: for each person to be tested, a personal code must be requested with the person's own eID.
You can choose on the spot whether you want the PCR test (€50). For the time being, we do not carry out antigen tests. For this, you can contact a pharmacist in your area. (Please note that not all pharmacies offer a rapid antigen test. Inform yourself in advance) or the antigen test (€20).
Check in advance which test your travel destination requires on reopen.europa.eu.
Always ask for a PCR test if you have doubts or do not know. The PCR test will be accepted for all destinations.
As from 1 October 2021, the cost of the test and the collection will be borne by the traveller.
You must pay this charge at the hospital reception desk before the test is taken. Payment is only made by Bancontact or VISA. Cash is not accepted.
Free PCR tests (for travel) could only be requested until 30.09.2021.
Covid-19 tests for foreign travel are carried out in the hospital.
In the reception area, you first have to register at the kiosk, and then (with a serial number) at the reception desk.
The staff member at the reception desk will check your identification details, register your request, print out an identification vignette and refer you to the collection that will take place in the clinical laboratory.
The certificate with the result of the test in function of the foreign trip fulfils all the requirements.
You will find the test result in your online medical record at www.cozo.be as soon as possible - in principle within 24 hours.
After a negative test, you can print or photograph the evidence.
You register in CoZo with your eID (identity card reader) or itsme (app).
If you do not have a digital key (eID, itsme ...), you can come and collect the printed result the day after the test. Please mention this when taking the test. The printed result will be made available at the reception desk of the hospital.
The EU certificates are offered digitally via the website www.myhealth.belgium.be or via the new covidsafe.be app. Users can only request their own certificates and those of their child(ren). They must first register digitally, which is the easiest way via the identification app itsme. Each certificate includes a unique QR code that can be scanned. Users can save this code in the app itself, save it in pdf format or print it out on paper.
Before you start your return journey, you must always fill in the Belgian PLF form online within 48 hours before your arrival in Belgium.
